Shiroko vs Kasado Station — Which Should You Use After the F1 Race?

Both stations serve the Kintetsu line after the Japanese Grand Prix. Shiroko is nearest. Kasado is smarter. Here is the full comparison.

The short answer

Use Kasado if you can walk to West Gate. Same Kintetsu line, same fare (~¥250), but 3-5x fewer people on Sunday. The 15-minute walk from West Gate beats standing in a 90-minute platform queue at Shiroko.

Nearest station to the circuit, served by Kintetsu to Nagoya and Osaka. Extreme crowds after Sunday race — expect 60-90 min platform waits if you leave immediately.

Kintetsu Osaka Line

Underutilized alternative to Shiroko — same Kintetsu line, far fewer crowds. 40+ min walk from Main Gate but only 15 min from West Gate. A well-kept secret among Suzuka veterans.

  • Much shorter queues — seasoned attendees walk past the Shiroko crowd
  • Trains run every 15 min; seats almost always available
